Stewardship
We are all stewards of the land. At KNL, our main objective is to make the best decisions not only for you and your property, but to care for and nurture our island as a whole.
Local Knowledge
Kauai is home to one of the most biologically and ecologically diverse landscapes in the world -- from coastal deserts to tropical rainforests and everything in between. The key to good design is to know and appreciate the plant materials that thrive in Kauai’s various microclimates. Kauai Nursery & Landscaping, Inc. operates with that knowledge and understanding.
Hawaiian Native Plant Species
While Hawaii’s native plants may not be considered as showy as some of the foreign tropical plants, their understated beauty cannot be matched or replicated. Plant species that evolved here over millions of years are a way that we can all connect ourselves to the islands’ history, ecology, and culture. KNL celebrates Hawaii’s indigenous and endemic flora in our designs.
Sustainable Design
You want your beautiful landscaping to last - and so do we! KNL’s design team cares about the islands’ natural resources as well as you and your budget. Both short and long-term maintenance enhancements are considered when planning your landscape design to extend life and reduce upkeep.
Conservation
As we all know, everyone must be smart about how our natural resources are used today so they will be sustained for future generations. Kauai Nursery & Landscaping, Inc. stays at the forefront of new “smart” irrigation technologies designed to distribute water as efficiently as possible. We utilize best management practices when it comes to controlling erosion on all our job sites. Locally sourced materials are used as much as possible, and we encourage creative recycling and re- use (for example, an old sugarcane crusher becomes a water feature!).

Kauai Nursery & Landscaping, Inc. has been maintaining, beautifying, and conserving Kauai’s lands since 1975. Through these many years, we’ve provided solutions to thousands of unique problems.
